Yoke Skirt

Hello. I am mostly a lurker. I am trying to figure out how to make a yoke skirt. I would swear that there used to be one on an earlier incarnation of Dress Shop (have had it since 2.0) I would figure that maybe I can modify a tiered skirt. I really only need the pattern piece for the yoke itself. The bottom is just a gathered rectangle of fabric.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

For a yoke skirt - just print out the top portion of a fitted skirt. Draw in the yoke line with a pencil, any shape yoke you want, and cut out. Then tape the darts closed, add seam allowances and you have a yoke pattern.

Hi Nora

There is a yoke editor but it seems like it is only for jeans as far as I can see. I checked skirt and pants. Only find it under jeans.

Thanks you Marilyn. I took your idea and went a bit furtner. I used the fitted skirt, eliminated the darts, and selected the shortest length option. I then manually shortened it to the yoke length that I would like. I hope that it works. I will let you know. Thank you again for the inspiration!
