I am busy doing some applique on my sweatshirt here,my machine thread kept breaking, while doing the satin stitch, the needle kept getting gummed up with the stabilizer [heat bond].So I took some rubbing alchohol on a Q tip, and wiped the needle clean, this does help, but one has to do it frequently.Just a trick I thought I would share with users here.

Hi Freda

Are you using Light Heat and Bond or Ultra Heat and Bond. If you are using the latter that type is not meant for sewing (as the package says) and will produce the problems you are having and do worse things to your machine. If you are using the Light H/B then a little sewers aid on the needle should help tremendously. There are better fusible webs on the market(MHO)then h/b for about the same price.
