This has happened to me, too. I am not sure. I am thinking and hoping that if you save a pattern that the Options for the saved pattern do not change. Otherwise, if you do not save the pattern, the Options do change and you have to reenter the changes you want each time you reprint the pattern. Doing this is a bit difficult because even if you have printed out the original Summary, the Options Menus does not have the changeable items in the same order as the Summary and it is very hard to jump back and forth in Options to make sure you have made all the changes correctly. I have had some experiences here that were not happy ones.
