I made a pleater out of a coathanger,by cutting off the straight section,& bending it to a U shape, over a half inch wide piece of wood,tested it out and discovered it worked,plus i did a 1"size the same method.I used the half inch size to add pleats to the top of my yoked blouse,next I shall make a 1/4" size,beats buying if you can make it lol.
