I'm in the middle of printing out an 8 panel hat and found something I need to verify. My pattern piece for the panel says it should measure 4 inches wide and 7 inches long. It is actually 3.5 inches wide, including seam allowances and close to 6 inches long. Is this correct and if nor, how do I correct it??

the length and width descriptions are rounded up and include any printing that may be otuside the pattern piece.

Thanks for the answer. When I added up the total amount for all the pieces it equaled my haed circumference.
