I have a problem with the armhole fit in the back bodice. I have a very wide back measurement and the armhole in the back only has extra material. I would need to put about a 1/12 inch dart in it. How can I fix this problem so that dress shop measures the armhole exactly? Thanks

well..It IS drafting to the number you put in.for the sloper.

Ease is put in to the across back on most patterns.

so if the excess shows up on the sloper.shorten the number.
if the excess shows up on garments, go to back ease(fit tool or ease tool depending on which program you are running) and either reduce it by 1/2 or zero it out.
