There is a nice description in the expanded details on each tool , basically- it converts a woman's pattern into a man's draft. Mens center of gravity is placed in the upper chest- womens in the hip area. Bodies are shaped differently beyond the most obvious. A man's draft will call for wider and deeper necklines, and greater arm hole depths and shoulder extensions. greater crotch (depths) ease, different back crotch fork angles ( cbwd) and different percentages for leg shaping in pants. One click and all these "differences" are adjusted in the pattern draft- as well as showing the "Mark" model versus the Mia Model. Very cool tool if you sew for men or boys. With all these tools, you can pick fit levels for Women and MEN as well as children, convert a pattern from female to male, convert a woven to a stretch/knit and adjust the pattern fit at specific individual points such as more hip ease or bust ease in just the front. Shoulder extensions are adjusted, and many ease amounts are different. There are reasons why men prefer a looser fit in the crotch, for instance. ;-) There are other changes to the patterns. The Pattern Converter Tool handles them all... DressShopBob (Bob Clardy) | ||||
