Laser Level

Once upon a time, someone talked about using a laser level to assist with the measuring process. It was used to help mark straight lines on the body, I believe. Can anyone tell me what exact product is being used? Perhaps the brand even? I would like to ask for one as a gift and am unsure if I should ask for the laser level or if I will need a laser generator. Any assistance is very much appreciated.

I use a laser level to mark the side seam.....I shoot from the floor up to shoulder point with the arm very slightly extended.

I also use a weighted string.place mid arm hole in line with the shoulder point and allow gravity to drop a line thats equivalent to shoulder point to ankle.

My product is a straight line "laser tape" I do not depend on the actual measuring.just the bright pink light line . Mine is also several years old ( 3 maybe) and newer better products are on the market.

Get as cheap as you can and one that will provide your other household functions.

Hi

How does the laser light work? I have so many rolls that even the lead weight drop line gets caught up and won't drop straight. Do you just angle the beam of light until as many high points as possible are lit up then mark those and fill in between the dots by eye?

You get a straight NARROW beam of light.no bending no refraction. As you run your marker along the beam if the beam is held steady you pass the marker tip thru the beam to touch the body.place a few dashes along the light "trail"easy to do and see very hard to descrribe
