I am having such problems with trying to open My Pattern files, get a message Windows cannot open this file (e.g. .pat .mea etc. Please tell me what to do. I am running Windows XP on my desktop.

Are you loading the pattern file within Dressshop.

It sounds like you may be trying to access these data files by double clicking on them to "launch" them. Some data files can be loaded that way, but not Dress Shop files. You need to run Dress Shop. Use "File - Load Pattern" to load .pat files. Use "Size - Load Measurements" to load .mea files.
