I am going to address this in Sundays general chat I think....what are the differences in the collections of the recent past couple years and earlier patterns released.

The Pattern Libary consists of mostly silhouettes which give the user a lot of freedom to design using the variety of released tools from fashion designer to the tools in the collections.

The newer collections from Illusions, Men's wear, summer quick sew, spring and summer, active wear all contain both silhouettes and designs even though designs are heavily featured.

But most importantly EACH also contain tools, new neck lines and or sleeves, as well as new fit levels from the original limit of fitted and unfitted.

Each tool can be used on the designs within the collection and on the original patterns as well as those found in the Pattern Library!

For instance side panels, shoulder pleats, and the original godets were released with Illusions.

You can use those elements on many standard patterns as well as those contained within the collection.

Sleeves such as bell, lantern, flared , and stretch raglan can be applied to a variety of main menu items.

Necklines from cowl to crew and henley may be applied to any silhouette that will support them.

The ability to design a garment using a stretch factor was greatly enhanced by the bathing suit and active wear stretch work.

So when considering a collection consider each also contains a very important tool and new design elements and each contains several How to Articles.

Men's wear adds the attached fly, fly shield, waist curtain and inserted pockets with a number of How To articles loaded with graphics and photos which also come only with the collections they apply to. YOU can apply those elecments to any womans pant as well Including all those found in Ultimate Pants!

The "How to help " articles include both tool use and construction details.

Have Fun!

I have most of the things that have been offered over the years but I do not sew for men but I would still like some of the features, ie: attached fly and inserted pockets, but don't want to buy the whole thing, will it ever be possible to ge these seperately?

Yes. There is a new tool in the works that will let you select just about anything and mix it with anything else. All features and options from all tools, all products and all collections will be included.
