In earlier versions of Dress Shop I was able to remove bust darts in all blouse patterns. It seems in Dress Shop 8 I can't take out bust dars in some patterns. Is that right?

On some fitted items such as a pegged sheath you can remove the waist darts but some sort of side dart remains. The difference is in the slection process- this named dress has a fitted side seam therefore at least a bust dart- if you want an unfitted side seam you select a dress from the unfitted category that allows a straight side seam and no darts.

So yes- this is correct. Some garment styles require a shaped side seam and that shaping requires some level of darting.

If you didn't want the dart look, gather the area between the dart legs to provide the space the darts create without the "dart look". I saw a designer do that years ago with a sheath dress that gave the appearance of being dartless, but still had shape.---Denise
