I am trying to make a cowl neck shirt with a large enough neck opening that I do not need a back neck closure. I am not sure how to measure the neckline to be sure there is head room. I have set the cowl for 4" drape. Thanks for your suggestions.

Cowl necklines have wider than jewel necks to start with. lets start with an example: load a fitted shell select cowl neck and then click view front and it will now show the neckline width and depth the width as ~ 7 inches wide. the standard neck on the same garment is only ~5.2-5.4 wide for most gals. So it is already modified and should work when you click Cowl. KaarenThis message has been edited. Last edited by: Kaaren Hoback, patrns4u@aol.com
