Solution to PDF problem--easy but....

After several days of trial and error getting a PDF file to create through MPD, I found something in the archives that works just as well.

It involves printing out the pattern in quarter (25%) scale, tking it to Kinkos and printing it out at 400% on their large format printer. Easy.

However, it is expensive, but right now worth it for me. Right now, I don't have a place to lay out my tools to piece the patterns together, and as I like to trace off my patterns onto STP, add seam allowances and notes to the tracing, I can take a single sheet to the library and work on a table there. The price for this convenience is .75cents a sq ft. A monstrous price in my mind, but worth it if the pattern you're ready to print is as perfect as you can make it, and you take the time to rim every bit of dead space off the 25% copy and paste it up on another sheet. Get as many pieces as you can on that sheet. Start with a paste up sheet about 18-14 inches long and add your pieces along the long edge. What space you don't use on the short side, cut off. The printer uses sheets 36" wide, but you control the length and ultimately the price by how much you position the pieces on your paste up.

Looking forward to getting back to sewing in a severely shorten work space--A simple remodel that has consumed seveal rooms and cut off electricity to my work space. With a few work arounds and a couple of sewing groups, I can stll sew!! Yeah
