I was looking at the Illusions pattern packet, and there were instructions for previewing the patterns via the File/Preview menu. When I go into my DS, there is no preview option under the File menu.

What am I missing? I'd love to see those patterns.

Illusions came out in DS V5 or 6 - cant remember- we left it out of more recent versions.
The patterns are still there though- you can see the full description of Illusions from the Home Page> collections>
click tell me more.

The patterns are activated when owned and are found under their garment class- blouses/dresses etc

In Dress Shop 7, you need to turn on the "Preview unowned patterns" option in the File - Settings dialog.

In Dress Shop 8, all preview patterns are in the "PatternDefaults" folder. When you use "Load Pattern", it defaults to the "MyPatterns" folder. Use the "Up One Level" icon at the top right of the Load pattern dialog to get out of the "MyPatterns" folder. You should then see the "PatternDefaults" folder. Open that for all the patterns in Dress Shop. Those are unowned, but you can look at any of them....

The product preview function was dropped. Sorry. The patterns are in the PatternDefaults folder if you want to search for them. There is no longer any way to preview a particular collection. Sorry...
