On the two piece sleeve (which fits BEAUTIFULLY, by the way)... The "T" mark on the underarm panel that shows where the underarm sleeve panel should intersect the side seam is down quite a ways from the seam line itself... SO, in order to accurately mark at the seam allowance, is that actual side seam intersect mark found by taking a ruler and going straight up to the sleeve seamline to mark, or is it angled to the sleeve seam line? It does make a bit of difference, and I'm not sure how to make sure that I'm marking it on the sleeve seamline appropriately so that I'll be sure where to intersect the side seam. This sounds really bizarre, I hope someone will have some idea about what I'm asking! Thanks!

hmmmmmmm the side seam match mark should be right up from the arrow point of the grain line....will check it out for you. Kaaren patrns4u@aol.com

Hi I looked at the T pin on the 2 piece sleeve and it is shoved over. Fold the under sleeve in half length wise. Note that the connection point to the upper sleeve is at sleeve notches front and back. the midpoint of the under sleeve is the under arm side seam match point and at the deepest point of the underarm curve. Ok….I think I’ve got it. Maybe. The midpoint of the under sleeve should align with the side seam. On my pattern it isn’t the lowest part of the curve—should I go with the lowest part of the curve instead? Also, am I correct in assuming that the seams where the under sleeve attach to the upper sleeve are supposed to match the front and back dots on the armscye? The only mark on the armscye is the shoulder dot, so I’m assuming the sleeve seams become the match points. I'm being obsessive, but want to make sure I'm getting things aligned correctly. Thanks! The join of the 2 piece sleeve upper and lower sections are at the regular match point marks of the armhole front and back. when you construct the sleeve use the shoulder point ( top of apex as marks, the join points as marks and the underarm/side seam join should become obvious- Bob is working on it.. Thank you! That's pretty much what I had done with the muslin, but just wanted to make sure I was on the right track. Being a set in sleeve, it takes a bit of tweaking anyway and I just wasn't sure if I was thinking about it correctly. L.
