How do I?

I am rebuilding this computer from a total crash that involved reformatting the hard drive. I was not able to save my settings, measurements, and patterns. I downloaded and installed DS8.04. In my laptop I have those files in version 8.0. Looking at the files and folders I'm finding some obvious changes. How do I get my measurements from the older version in the laptop to the new version in this computer? I discovered that DS8.04 uses the .mea format where the older version doesn't seem to. Also can I copy the patterns to the mypatterns folder and have them work?

The fastest way if you arent using belkin cords is a stitck or thumb drive. load em in one- that pull the stick and load them in the other.should work.

All charts have been .mea files forever.
and are found under the folder labeled Mymeasurements

patetrns are found in the MyPatterns folder.

The measurement file from older versions of Dress Shop that should be copied is MyDSmeasurements.txt. After you copy that file, run Dress Shop 8, then use Size - Import Measurements to load it and have all charts converted to the .MEA files that Dress Shop 8 uses.

The patterns should work if copied to the MyPatterns folder as you supposed.
