These list new techniques, one being closer fit... new side dart...etc. Do these techniques "compute" to the other dress shop selections? Or does this only apply to the 05 and 06 collections, and the new single patterns 1053-1061?

Hi Without writing a book I hope this description helps.

The form fitting options for active wear work for the named patterns such as swim suits and the very close fit named tops,and etc.

Active wear offers dance, swim, sports and workout garments.There is also a menu of patterns for very close fit and close fit garments within DS from varying other collections.But You won't be able to go to the "fit" option and change a casual shell into a stretch crop top.

Thank you...the concept in a nutshell...the basic programs are built to be manipulated...you could go from shell to crop knit top, but not in the lickity split way that "fit" would with the specific collections that offer it. Correct?

Not quite- IN DS the fit for a shell is no design ease, fitted, casual. Form fit is NOT offered so you could not replciate that unless you happen to own a form fit crop top.

You are limited to the named pattern and it's particular options.

In MPD form fit is available and not just for the shell but for all catalog blouse selections.You may create the form fitted or relaxed fit garment with or without darts at ANY degree of stretch to fit AND at any fit level AND with any length adjustment AND any sleeve AND neckline.

The design opportunities are increased many times over.
