Waist Line

Hi, my natural waist line is very high and I don't like to wear my pants, skirts, etc. there. When I enter measurements, should I use my natural waistline and adjust the pattern accordingly, or just use my "preferred" waist line and allow the pattern to draft using that information.

Help!

Your chart, your pattern, your preference!

However, consider that you can adjust the waist position for skirts and pants using the high/ low waist options so your blouse and dress waist lines place to true natural waist.

Over the years I find a lot of women like to think their waist is down around the navel and wish to wear their pants and skirts "low" near the panty brief top- this often creates problems with a dress fit.

Whatever you elect is what you will get. Your decision provides results unique to your selections.
