How do I get more room across the centre back on the Torso Test Fit Garment

I have just upgraded to Dress Shop 7 and have just made up the the Test Fit Torso. I’m using all 60measurments.

It’s a pretty good fit but is a bit tight across the back. I need about 3 centimetres more at the mid back [if that is the right description]. The Test Fit Torso opens at the back. It fit perfectly at the back waist and at the top [where the across back measurement hits]. It’s half way in between the Waist and the Across Back that’s too tight.

I tried adding 3 centimetres on the Across Back measurement but that just added a tiny bit at the back opening and didn’t give me anymore room at the centre back point. There is no measurement for this area.

Does anyone have any idea how I get a few extra centimetres at the point between the Waist and the Across Centre back point?

Sorry if I haven’t explained this very well.
Best wishes and thanks for your help.
Kirsteen.

Dear Kaaren,
I tried that. I added 3cm to the back bust and all that happened is that I got an extra 1cm [on each of the back pieces] at the back bust but it didn't make it any wider in the mid back. I did wonder if I should add a couple of cm to the back waist. Presumably that would make the mid back wider. Although it would make the waist a bit baggy I guess.
I really appreciate all your help on this.
Best wishes and thanks.
Kirsteen.

Draw the across body emasuring lines from the pattern onto the fabric

where it is too tight make a evrtical slash so it opens on each side of center

look at the nearest luines above and below the opened slash

have soemone emasure how much the fabric opened
and add that amount to the nearest measuring lines.
