Would anyone know, what a script error is on a browser, and what causes them,I have read some places and its said as caused by registery faults/IP servers.Confused about this.Any help is appreciated from the computer wizards out there GGGGG.Winxp home.Plus fast internet.

Script errors can be caused by many things, but the simplest case is an error in Javascript, one of the languages used to make web pages. Web pages include formatting information (where to put pictures and text and links) which is usually spelled out in HTML (Hypertext Markup Language). Anything else that a web page does (animation, menus that change, pretty much anything that is dynamic - meaning that it changes either as you watch or as you interact with the page) is written in either Java or in Javascript. Despite their similar names, they are very different languages. Javascipt is more common.

An error in Javascript will produce a script error report on screen if your browser is setup to display such errors. Many web sites have errors in them. They may relate to things that do not work properly on your system depending which web page utilities you have installed, such as animation support products like Flash or sound effect or music support that can be optionally added to your browser. If you do not have installed something that the web page wants to use, you could get a script error.

In most cases, you do not need to see such errors. They are only useful if you intend to fix them (developers should see them) or report them so that someone else will fix them.

If those are not of interest to you, turn off the errors. In Internet Explorer, use Tools - Internet Options - Advanced and look for the check box labeled "Display a notification about every script error". Uncheck that and you will not see these things any more.
