Friends, want to kick back from the frenzy, sit in front of the fire, and "talk sewing"? We're deep in making the clothes that outfit us easily and inexpensively, but a break will be welcome. The group now "owns" a copy of Carole Jackson's Color Me Beautiful, so - with Karen's help - we can continue last month's discussion of what colors look good on each of us. This month, we'll consider styles too, since pattern-drafting software makes our personal, gifting, and professional sewing easier and more fun; why don't you come and see? The next meeting of the Custom-fit Software SIG of Phila. ASG will be Wednesday (note the day!), December 17, in St. Davids. We'll fit garments in process and slopers, as part of "show & tell." What are you making? How can we help? The meeting on Wednesday, December 17, will be in St. Davids, from about 10:30 a.m. until about 3:30 p.m. We'll go to a local diner (great quiche!) for lunch. If you need directions - either by car or on SEPTA's R5 line - please send me an email. Whether you own and use pattern-drafting software, lurk around the on-line sites, or simply wonder if this marriage of home computers and pattern-drafting knowhow can solve fitting challenges for you or for those far-away for whom you sew, please plan to join us on Wednesday, December 17.
