Friends, change is all around us: the season (we hope), the clocks (we're sure), and all sorts of areas that affect our sewing. Next Tuesday, March 11, the Custom-fit Software SIG of Phila. ASG will meet in St. Davids from about 10:30 a.m. till 3:30 p.m. We'll consider all sorts of changes that play into our choices for garment sewing: - software upgrades, links, and new products...what can you now do with software you already own? are there new capabilities? what can you get free from the internet? if you have patterns in one package, can you use them in another? - seasons roll on, so the needs change...does your DGD need a spring coat? do you? what about the new fabrics and finishes? - shapes change, so one of the neat advantages of custom-tailored software come into play...what measurements do you need to adjust to get or keep that really good fit we all treasure? As usual, show-and-tell will anchor the meeting: what are you making/considering/envisioning? How will a bit of help from others make your fitting and/or sewing easier and more satisfying? We'll go to a local diner for lunch, so bring an appetite. Our meetings are open to all, whether you actively use custom-fit software, play with the on-line or downloadable versions (some are now free), or simply want to "talk sewing." If you need directions either for SEPTA's R5 or for driving from I476 and Rte. 30, email for them. Please join us!! Marj in Southeastern PA DS Pro everything MPD Pro current | |||
