Last month we saw tops: blouses, shirts, jerseys; now, are you working on a "bottom" (pants, shorts, skort, or skirt) to go with your top? Or examining your wardrobe for holes that need to be filled? Whether or not you're actually sewing, please come to the Custom-fit Software SIG of Phila. ASG meeting in St. Davids on Tuesday, May 11. From about 10:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., we'll admire, critique, pin-fit, or otherwise encourage one another's efforts to use pattern-drafting software to make a bottom garment that fits into your wardrobe and/or uses a piece of fabric from your stash. As usual, we'll drive to a local diner for lunch (great quiche!). Here's a "heads-up" for the June meeting on Wednesday, June 9. Phyllis Patukas has offered a program on choosing necklines; we'll combine her generous offer with matching information on how to create the chosen lines using software. (Please note the change of day to Wednesday; the C-fS makes this change to make meetings available occasionally for people who can't make the usual Tuesdays.) Whether or not you own pattern-drafting software, lurk in the discussions and wonder about it, or simply want to "talk sewing" with friends, please join us in St. Davids on Tuesday, May 11. The meeting is accessible by car or the R5 SEPTA train; email for further directions. Marj Jensen Southeastern PA Marj in Southeastern PA DS Pro everything MPD Pro current | |||
