In the Phila. ASG's new Custom-fit Software SIG, members are committed to making computers and software programs do the work of custom-fitting garments...so the sewists can concentrate on designing and finishing really special garments that actully fit!

Tuesday, Dec. 12, the C-fS group meets in St. Davids from about 10:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. We go to a local diner for lunch.

The main topic for Dec. 12's meeting is planning for our software presentation at the Pins and Needles neighborhood group that meets in King of Prussia at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 2. With the help of Steve's people, we're going to hook up a laptop with several programs so that every step can be seen via an overhead projector. We'll walk attendees through the measurement, pattern choice, and pattern assembly processes. We'll be wearing C-fS clothes and bringing "special occasion" samples. We hope to provide an introduction to C-fS that helps attendees get over the "strangeness" factor and see how such software can fit into their sewing.

All are welcome, with clothes for show and tell, questions about custom-fit software...or just seeking an opportunity to "talk sewing" with others. Our usual St. Davids meeting place is about a mile from the intersection of I 476 and US Route 30; it's a block and a half from the St. Davids train station on the R5 SEPTA line.
