Marj in Southeastern PASewing into Fall
Friends, suddenly it's fall, and we're looking ahead to making change-of-season clothing that fits and looks well. We believe that using pattern-drafting software can make your personal, gifting, and professional sewing easier and more fun; why don't you come and see? The next meeting of the Custom-fit Software SIG of Phila. ASG will be Tuesday, September 9, in St. Davids.
We're looking ahead with small patience to new software from at least one major supplier: My Pattern Designer's upgrade to Version 2.0 is in the final stages of beta testing; if it's available, we'll look at it together. As we switch from cottons and sun-dresses to light wools and school togs, which of your projects needs "tweaking"? (We know there's a "mother of the bride" dress in process.) How can we help?
The meeting on Tuesday, September 9, will be in St. Davids, from about 10:30 a.m. until about 3:30 p.m. We'll go to a local diner (great quiche!) for lunch. If you need directions - either by car or on SEPTA's R5 line - please send me an email.
Whether you own and use pattern-drafting software, lurk around the on-line sites, or simply wonder if this marriage of home computers and pattern-drafting knowhow can solve fitting challenges for you or for those far-away for whom you sew, please plan to join us on Tuesday, September 9.
