Friends, summer has blindsided us with early heat - it makes us think of easy-to-wear and -care-for clothes we can make to fit ourselves and others. How does custom-fit software help us meet the challenges of new fabrics (knits, slinkies) and techniques (stretch calculations) and equipment (sergers)? Come and share both your experiences and your questions with Philadelphia ASG's Custom-fit Software group in St. Davids on Tuesday, June 12, from about 10:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Do you have a favorite pattern that you want to adapt? What about a RTW garment you'd like to copy? While fitting may be less (?) of an issue with knits and other "stretchables," handling the fabrics and using the software's built-in adjustment capabilities are new areas for sewists experienced with woven fabrics or for new users. Show off what you've done and/or what you'd like to do. As usual, we'll go out to a local diner for lunch. Come for as much of the time as your personal world permits. We're hoping to see some new software users, after some of us modelled at the spring fashion show in April. If you're considering using computer software to help you design and fit clothing you sew, please join us for information, encouragement, and all-around good company.
