Friends, it's been a long stretch since we've gotten together to compare projects, share tips, and enjoy the benefits of using pattern-drafting software. The next meeting of the Custom-fit Software SIG of Phila. ASG will be Tuesday, August 12, in St. Davids.

Our theme for the meeting will be travel: show what you wear to travel (car? plane?), what special clothes do you design (bathing suit? shorts-and-shirts? easy-to-pack dress-up?), what fabrics do you prefer - and why (knits? poly/cotton? linen?), and what sewing items do you bring back from your travels (ribbons? yardgoods?). As usual, we'll look at measurements and slopers and help one another translate them into garments that fit.

The meeting on Tuesday, August 12, will be in St. Davids, from about 10:30 a.m. until about 3:30 p.m. We'll go to a local diner (great quiche!) for lunch. If you need directions - either by car or on SEPTA's R5 line - please send me an email.
