Hello all,

The update for MPD version 1.03 has been posted. There is a lot to tell you about this update. It has an incredible amount of new stuff in it. But, first the change requests included. For those that have reported a problem or asked for a change, please check here. We have not addressed everything that was asked for, but we did get quite a number of them.

You can get this update from the MPD web site (www.MyPatternDesigner.com). Use the navigation menu at the left and select "Downloads", then "Latest Update".

Watch for separate posts about new features and patterns. Much to tell you....

Change requests included in this build are:

1. A side panel pattern dress or jumper, auto-saved on purchase, would not reload as a panel pattern. This has now been fixed, but the saved patterns are still bad. Do a restore to have them rebuilt correctly.
2. The gadgets on the icon bar were reworked to make their operation more apparent. Drop list menus now describe each option. You can click the button to step through the choices or use the drop list to choose one.
3. Added Collar Front Width and Collar Point Extension settings to all collars. Width at back and front can now vary and the point amount is fully settable.
4. The Total Collar Length setting should now only appear with patterns that have detached collars (not shawl, for instance).
5. Weskit hem princess patterns were too long at center front.
6. Neckline depths were limited too high for scoop type yokes.
7. Shirt tail hem finish was showing up in pattern fronts, but not backs.
8. The problem report dialog was made smaller and movable so as not to cover up the pattern pieces being described. You can now drag it left or right to get it off either the model or the pattern, depending on which you are reporting about.
9. Flared princess line culottes were not drafting the princess lines properly.
10. The button for displaying lining pieces was still present, even when linings were deselected.
11. In the neck dialog, as different neck types are selected, collars now are removed in those cases (e.g. square, sweetheart) where they are not appropriate.
12. The Sailor Collar was not drafting properly.
13. Disabled the cowl neckline - builtin sleeve combination.
14. Princess line skirt shaping for trumpet and slinky skirt shapes should now work better.
15. Pants Hem Circumference should now set the hem circumference at whatever length is chosen, not only at full length.
16. Vent / Pleat / Godet tops at waist or higher levels did not work. Those options were removed.
17. Princess blouses can now take a vee waist.
18. Aline and Flared skirts were not getting a curved hemline.
19. A-Line and Flared Skirt patterns were modified to default to a center seam so the flare could be spread to center and side seams equally. You can still get the older no-center-seam version of the pattern by setting the Options - Pattern Settings - Center Seam Allowance to zero. There are also options in the Hem / Finish menu relating to this.
