I am using pattern 122121. I did read the directions and articles on how to ddetemine the width of the placket. I just want to make sure I did it right.
button size is 3/4.
3/4 + 1/8 = 7/8
then it said to add 3/8.
7/8 + 3/8 = 11/4
so double that = 2.5 width for the placket.
Please let me know if I did it right.

Depends on where and how the placket is to be used. A full waist to hem button placket- yes
a placket extension for just the waist band- thats a bit much.....could trim it down intead of a full double.
