There are many quides written about interfacings and linings many of which are proprietary to the companies that manufacture them or market them.

Some of the most widely distrubuted interfacings in the US are from HTC,Inc. Creative Products and they used to have a fabulous web site with a list of all their forms of interfacings which I can no longer find. I'll keep digging
