We have finished the first few classes about torso garments and this week study the pant drafts.
Future classes will feature classes on Ease, Sleeves,Necklines,Closures,Shaping,Stretch, and more but we need to get these basics done first. Class is at 1PM Pacific US Time in the class room ( see the home pages for Help>Classes) the url for the Quiltropolis chat room is Class room Do bookmark it, create a password for first timers and join the session Free. Details on how to navigate the site are on the Help pages. Kaaren patrns4u@aol.com |

Hi Kaaren
I have mpd pro v.1.7 as you probably know but just including it in case you forgot. I have been looking for pat #13221 and cannot locate it. Is the pat one I have to purchase? |

The last digit of that patter number was omitted. The one you are looking for is probably #132212, which comes with MPD Standard and Pro and can be loaded from those folders. Nor sure if you needed to know, but to decode any pattern number, you simply choose menus based on each digit in order. For pattern #13221, you would select menu item 1 in the pattern menu (women's clothes), then item 3 in the next menu (pants), then item 2 (slim fit), then item 2 (darted), then 1 (standard leg). The last menu should probably be item 2 (natural waist), making the resultant pattern number as #132212. If you walk the menus, you will find out immediately that the last digit was left off and what it probably should have been, since the default selection is always highlighted. |

The pant we were discussing in today's class is 13221(2) select natural waist 2 as the last digit. This is the slim fit leg.
The fitted pant in the load pattern menu of free included patterns when you purchase the program does have more or additional ease in the leg for a fitted pant profile and is wider at thigh knee and calf than the default slim fit leg version. Kaaren patrns4u@aol.com |

Thanks Kaaren
A while ago, a loooong while ago I purchased 2 patterns and then found them later on in the loadable patterns. I didn't want to do that again. Yes, I did know how the pattern numbers were formed but I was searching the number. I DOES help if you search the correct #! <ggg> Thanks so much for your assistance as always. |

Any pattern that you own will build from the catalog but under the Model you will see the "owned" pattern number a description and a revise button. ONLY if you revise the pattern number from the catalog options changing the number are you given the opportunity to buy the pattern. This helps a lot- you can build what you want and immediatly see if you already own the base pattern number.
If you don't own the pattern it will have a "buy this pattern" button to click. Kaaren patrns4u@aol.com |
