There are only 2 boxes to check on the MPD Your Account page at the bottom left. The DS account page has 3 boxes. ??? - Diane

Right. With MPD, we dropped one of the check boxes that was not actually getting used. Linda has her Livingsoft boxes checked and her MPD boxes not checked. So, she will get the Livingsoft newsletter, but not the MPD newsletter.

BTW, there is a Livingsoft newsletter coming out early next week...

Hi Bob,

Sorry to post to the list but somehow I only have your "problem report" address for DS. Not sure if you have a different email for MPD. Smiler When I said all 3 boxes were checked, I was including the one for "Shipping the same as Billing Address". The two boxes for MPD special offers and the Newsletter are, and have been, checked---at least, they are on my screen when I access "My Account" through MPD. Just letting you know in case others report this too.

I do not receive the newsletters either, and I have checked both my DS and MPD accounts, all boxes are checked. Spam that is filtered by my ISP goes into a special folder that I can access online and check, and there is no newsletter there. The only way I ever know of newsletters for DS (and now it looks like MPD) is through the discussion list.

Same here! All boxes checked in MPD and DS. Spam filtering is OFF, so I can do it myself. Sure do get all the crap, but NO newsletters! Thanks for announcing on the list that one is available. Registered name is Sandra Lohsen.

Hi Linda,

Ah, new information. There are two ways to check for those checkboxes. One is to log into your account from the MPD web site (as you did). They are shown checked there. The other is to log into your account using the account tool that MPD staff use to edit things. That one shows your check boxes unchecked.

They always should be the same. They are not. Now, maybe we are getting somewhere. I'll follow up with the guy that does the database tools....

In my case, I did not receive the newsletter, so I checked my account, all boxes ticked, checked my spam filters and couldn't find anything there, so I sent an email. The reply I received was that my boxes were not checked. That just doesn't make any sense, so I think it's best to just accept that I'm more likely not to get announcements.

That's fine, so long as you can find a way to post announcements here. It's just as easy for me to go to the newsletter website so long as I know that there's a newsletter. Same with sales. I'm sure you smart folks can figure out a way to help me part with my cash Wink

We did find a group of email addresses that should have been sent a newsletter, but were not. Yours was in there and that list got a fresh copy of the MPD newsletter today (Sunday the 5th).

It still may not get to you, but at least one batch that was not getting delivered was tracked down. Hope you see it...

We will continue to post the newsletters on the web site and announce them on the discussion board for those other cases that are still unexplained.

I also did not get the MPD newsletter although the boxes are checked on My Account; I verified this from both the LivingSoft and MPD sites. I was able to read the posted newsletter which was all I needed this time.

Could we have dates on the newsletters please. I would make it easier to understand information when we look at past newsletters after updates have been released. When I look at past DS newsletters I see lots of information that is still good, but some articles refer to things that have changed since the latest release. Thanks.

Hi

I've been onto the web to ensure my name is ticked to get both DS and MPD Newsletters. I get all emails from DS Groupee list every day and also check Junk and Trash folders everyday. Only way to find out about Newsletters is if somebody mentions them in a regular post or by actually going to the sites and checking on a regular basis. Notifications simply are not being received.

I'm not so concerned about missing newsletter (sorry, but the first mpd newsletter doesn't really have anything of interest to me) and I think we can probably monitor this site to find out when one is released - but I'd sure hate to miss out on a sale!
