Kaaren I am wondering what the floor to hem on the measurement chart means. On my chart Marge K2 it is 0 but on the last chart Marge K3 it came back 18.5. I thought it meant the length of the pants. Just want to understand. Could you also tell me what the overhead measurement is in options, I asked this once on the class and I can't remember the reply and want to take a note of it to keep so I won't forget!! Thanks in advance

The floor to hem is a reference to skirt/dress length. I usually put some setting in every chart and arbtrarily make it one inch below the knee if the user has not defined it.
The overhead measurement is required for making hoods, over the top of the head in an east/west direction to the top of the shoulders. Every measurement is clearly defined if you click HELP at the top of each chart. It's small and blue and often not used but it leads to a comprehensive article with graphics. Every page of MPD has page specific help that elads you to the information you need to properly use a tool, option,or chart. Kaaren patrns4u@aol.com |
