I purchased the upgrade to 2.5 and the new pants tool this morning. I did it as 2 separate purchases. Here's the problem

After going to settings, activate codes a few times, I still show version 2.5, and the only tool that shows up is the jeans machine.

So, I think the problem is that 2.5 isn't installed, so the pants tool won't install.

I have vista 32 bit. I do not have any user accounts on this computer. MPD Pro.

Suggestions?

I'd remove this thread if I knew how to, but I don't. The problem has been resolved. I hate to admit it, but I neglected to download and install the upgrade. Duh.

Yesterday I did the same thing you did. I actually hit the wrong key. hmmmp. And I'm not a newbie & should have known better. I knew it wasn't downloading/downloaded the same old way. So today I read the board & you had my problem. I see you are ok now. Whew, as Kaaren said your posting would help someone. It sure helped me.

Thanks to all that were/are involved with this great softwear. Have to tweak some numbers because of weight loss but will get to making pants over the weekend.

Our mistakes are always a bit embarassing, but if it makes you feel better, we have had a number of similar problems reported by direct email, so you are certainly not the only one to skip a step. I've revised the web page for the upgrade to include that reminder, but there are alreeady a lot of words there and not everyone will notice.

So, I think it best that we had the conversation on the forum so others will have the reminder before their activations do not work as expected... ;-)

Thanks for all the comforting words. Actually, I do have an excuse. I had total knee replacement Sept 14 and am still on morphine, so I tend to do strange things like putting the mail in the fridge.

I'm looking forward to trying out the new gizmos (both mpd and knee) as soon as possible.

judith i have done the same thing as you,with the excitement, its hard not to think about the updates.I have Vista 32 bit also along with IE8.I had to stop and think prior to the new tools.Don't feel badly about it all.
