My grandaughter is now 14 months old. She is into hugging dolls and I'm into hugging her as well as sewing for her. I'd like to start making her matching doll clothes. Can anyone advise on a type of doll for a girl that young? Preferably one with measurements in doll shop.

Why don't you make your 14-month-old granddaughter an Abby Rose 17-inch doll with Doll Shop Deluxe? Then you could use the DS doll patterns.
