Friends, we’ve had a tough year - as individuals and as a group - but the Custom-fit Software SIG of Philadelphia ASG will meet on Tuesday, December 11, from about 10:30 a.m. till 3 p,.m. in St. Davids. We’ll continue our quest to use computer software to make, for ourselves and for others we love, clothes that really fit.

One of the real joys of sewing is passing on the love of the craft to a younger generation. From fleece hats and matching skirts to 18-inch-doll clothes, all sorts of sewing we do lets new people see that fitting can work well; the younger, computer-literate generation sees pattern-drafting software as natural extensions of programs they use in other fields.

As usual, we’ll go to a local diner (great quiche!) for lunch. Our meeting site is a mile from the intersection of I476 and US30; if you need directions, email marjjensen@aol.com. The site is also two blocks from the Paoli/Thorndale (R5) station in St. Davids.

Although we lost Karen Steven earlier in the year and Brenda Dobin is in hospice care, we continue as the Philadelphia sewists who use pattern-drafting software to speed and improve our production of clothes that fit. If you own any brand of this software, want to see how real people make software work, or simply want to “talk sewing,” please join us on Tuesday, December 11.
