One of the real joys of sewing is passing on the love of the craft to a younger generation. From fleece hats and matching skirts to 18-inch-doll clothes, all sorts of sewing we do lets new people see that fitting can work well; the younger, computer-literate generation sees pattern-drafting software as natural extensions of programs they use in other fields.

Although we lost Karen Steven earlier in the year and Brenda Dobin is in hospice care, we continue as the Philadelphia sewists who use pattern-drafting software to speed and improve our production of clothes that fit.
